Alelo Announces Strategic Partnerships with O’Donnell Learn and Executive Development Associates

Alelo Inc. has partnered with Executive Development Associates and O’Donnell Learn, two prominent companies in competency-based education and professional development, to co-develop and co-market applications for the Alelo® Workplace Coach. The system is an employee-development breakthrough that allows organizations to provide all their workers with highly effective, affordable workplace readiness and competency training.

The challenge of all training is to ensure that every learner quickly achieves the target level of competency and retains it over time. Live coaching can be very effective but its high cost typically limits it to executive training, and is seldom offered to workers who must develop their competency in areas like sales, customer relations, leadership, team management, and fostering innovation and creativity. Self-paced courses based on software, videos and websites are less expensive than live instruction, but not very effective, and often boring and not engaging.

The Alelo Workplace Coach closes the gap between the superior results of live coaching and the low cost per employee of self-paced instruction. It accomplishes this with computer-based courses that immerse workers in personalized, life-like situations that use interactive role-playing simulations to teach effective communication and collaboration across generations, cultures, mindsets and organizational levels. It utilizes Alelo’s patented Enskill® software platform that delivers role-playing simulations via the Web on a variety of devices.

Dr. Lewis Johnson, Alelo’s CEO, explains, “The days are over when learning and development companies could do everything by themselves. Today’s success requires collaboration among experts to ensure solutions are perfectly tuned to the needs of every industry and specific companies within those industries. Educational institutions are increasingly adopting competency-based approaches to ensure that learners are prepared with the necessary skills to be effective on the job. Our partnerships with O’Donnell Learn and Executive Development Associates, two outstanding groups of experts in competency-based education and workforce development, allow us to ensure that organizations get the skilled workers that they need.”

Bonnie Hagemann, CEO of Executive Development Associates, elaborates, “It’s absolutely crucial that we become more adaptive and innovative in our approach to learning and development for leaders. Our strategic partnership with Alelo is very important because its technology promises to reduce expense and increase learners’ experience.”

“Alelo’s sophisticated virtual simulation platform combined with O’Donnell Learn’s expertise in developing competency-based and workforce-training curricula provide the authentic and engaging teaching and learning experience students, faculty and employers are demanding today. This partnership presents a unique opportunity to train and assess learners on the much-needed ‘soft skills’ that typically have been hard to translate into personalized online coaching environments,” says Joana Jebsen, president of O’Donnell Learn.
