Alelo CEO Lewis Johnson Featured in VoyageLA’s “Inspiring Stories from West LA.”

I have believed throughout my career that artificial intelligence can help people learn, by giving each person engaging learning experiences tailored to their individual needs. At USC I started developing “pedagogical agents”, computer characters that interact with users in a human-like way to promote learning. This important work won an Influential Paper Award at this year’s International Conference on Autonomous Agents and Multi-Agent Systems in São Paulo, Brazil.

US Air Force Recognizes Alelo VCAT Courses As An SBIR Success Story

The U.S. Air Force recently recognized Alelo’s Virtual Cultural Awareness Trainers (VCATs) as a success story funded by its Small Business Innovative Research (SBIR) program, and produced a video showcasing the success. The SBIR program is a highly competitive program that encourages domestic small businesses to engage in Federal research and development that has the potential for commercialization.
