Alelo Unveils VRP® 2.0 at I/ITSEC 2011VRP 2.0

Join Alelo CEO and Chief Scientist Dr. Lewis Johnson on Wednesday, November 30 at I/ITSEC as he unveils plans for VRP® 2.0, the next generation of Alelo's sophisticated Virtual Role-Player technology. During Dr. Johnson's presentation,"Social Simulations for Military Training," he will describe Alelo's approach for integrating sociocultural models into immersive military training. VRP® allows trainers to populate training scenarios with virtual role-players that interact with trainees in culturally realistic ways. The VRP® 2.0 framework provides mechanisms for modeling the human terrain at microsocial, mesosocial, and macrosocial levels, and integrating current sociocultural data from the field. Visit Alelo at Booth 2719 during the show to find out more!

Alelo Launches UK Subsidiary to Support European Operations

ITEC 2011This October Alelo established its UK subsidiary Alelo UK to support growing demand for its unique language and culture training capabilities in the European market. In the coming months, Alelo UK will work closely with its US and UK-based teams to provide Alelo products in the UK and throughout the European Union.

Alelo is currently supporting The British Armed Forces' innovative blended learning approach to train a new Military Assistance Group (MAG) preparing to deploy to Afghanistan. This select group of officers will be stationed at forward locations to work closely with local Afghan leaders and Afghan National Security Force personnel. UK Ministry of Defence (MOD) training specialists designed a blended learning solution for the MAG which combines different methods and resources, including intensive classroom-based instruction and Alelo's Operational Dari and Pashto courses on Apple iPads for the technology-based language training component. Alelo researchers are also collaborating with MOD Directorate of Educational and Training Services (Army) educators on a study of how the blended learning solution fares in this new training program.

Alelo will exhibit at ITEC 2012 scheduled to take place at London's ExCel Center next May.
